SSRC Sponsored PET THERAPY
Pet therapy is a managed interaction between a person and a shelter animal. The purpose of pet therapy is to help someone recover from or cope with an emotional crisis by spending time with an animal in a controlled environment. Both the individual and the animal get to spend some quality time together while providing each other emotional support, encouragement, affection, and exercise.
